Building a successful family business is a remarkable achievement of which you should be justifiably proud. Family Business Association (FBA) celebrates success in Family Business through the Family Business Excellence Awards.
For 25 years, Family Business Association has been supporting family businesses of all sizes across all industries. Having commenced in 2000, our Hall of Fame has now evolved into the Family Business Excellence Awards. which acknowledges family businesses at varying stages of maturity and ownership.
Recognising the achievements of families that are managing respected and successful family businesses, the Family Business Excellence Awards pays homage to the significant contribution they make to the Australian & New Zealand community, society and economy.
Nominations for all award categories for 2023/24 are now all closed. All award winners will be announced at the Family Business Excellence Awards Dinner at the Family Business Conference 2024 - Asia Pacific.
Award nominations are open to FBA members and non-members*, as we celebrate the vital contribution of the family business sector as a whole. *with the exception of the Accredited Advisor of the Year Award, which is only open to FBA Accredited Advisor Members.
Unlike many other business awards, the Family Business Excellence Awards acknowledge and showcase excellence in family businesses. We invite family businesses to show us how their business is exemplary in a broad business sense, and in particular how family ownership and involvement help the business to achieve competitive advantage.
Awards for all categories will be presented at the annual Family Business Conference.
The annual Family Business Excellence Awards highlights successful businesses/individuals in eight categories:
Business Categories
• Emerging Family Business Award
• Established Family Business Award
• Legacy Family Business Award
*The winner of the Emerging Family Business, Established Family Business, and Legacy Family Business in each AU State & New Zealand will be presented at local events during Sept/Oct and will then go into the running and compete against the other 5 finalists to become the overall Winner of the Family Business Excellence Award in each category, to be presented at Family Business Conference – Asia Pacific, May 1st-3rd 2024.

Nominations
Entries for nominations may be:
• Self-nominated
• 3rd party- nominated or,
• By referee. Nominations by referee should be sent to awards@familybusiness.org.au or awards@familybusiness.org.nz and FBA will contact the nominated party [individual/business] accordingly. Thereafter it is the responsibility of the nominated party to submit their own award nomination at their discretion.
