What has been your greatest success?
Reflecting on success, Mary points to longevity and trust. “To still be here, 24 years on, serving our community day and night - that’s what I consider success,” she says. “We’ve built something that people in our community can rely on.”
What do you value about FBA?
Mary joined Family Business Association to connect with like-minded business owners who understand both the rewards and the pressures of running a business that is so personally invested. The opportunity to share insights, learn from others, and be part of a broader network has been invaluable.
What advice would you give to other family businesses?
Her advice to other family businesses is simple yet powerful: “Know your values, back yourself, and be prepared to do the work — especially when it’s hard. Your reputation is built in the moments no one sees.
